The Cheney FBLA Club (Future Business Leaders of America) once again had a great 2018 Northeast Regional Winter Conference at the Valley Assembly of God church in Spokane Valley. The Cheney Club had 50 of its 57 attending members place in the top six to earn a trip to the state leadership conference. As a team, club members placed 93 times in the competition and place first in 17 of the 58 different events. Students who place top six are eligible to compete at the State Business Leadership Conference in Bellevue on April 10-13.

Our chapter had a relatively young team but continued to compete well in technology events. Cheney took 4 of the top 6 places in Management Information Systems, Network Design, Compute Problem Solving, Spreadsheet Applications and Introduction to Information Technology. Team leaders were Juliane De Los Santos who placed in 6 different events including 2 first place finishes, Holden McNaul, Dylan Doney and Steven Johnson who each placed 5 different times. JT Gasper, Chasen LaTeller, Korinna Shaw, Marisa Mendoza and Lucy Nester joined De Los Santos in bringing home 2 first place trophies.

This regional event was attended by 18 different local high schools and had 480 students in attendance.
