ThoughtExchange for Staggered School Schedule

For a variety of reasons, including driver shortages and district growth, Cheney Public Schools transitioned to a staggered start and end time schedule during the 2021-2022 school year. We have appreciated the flexibility of parents/guardians, staff, students, and community members as we have implemented this schedule change. At this time, we would like to engage our staff and community in conversation related to the current schedules as we begin planning for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond. The ongoing growth of our district will make it necessary to continue a staggered schedule for future years. We desire to receive your feedback in this ThoughtExchange as it will provide valuable insight as we determine whether adjustments to the staggered schedule should be considered. Your voice and perspectives are important and we thank you for taking the time to engage in this critical conversation related to school staggered start and end times.
