Six Cheney High School seniors were nominated for Spokane Scholar Awards; they are among 160 students nominated from 30 schools throughout the Spokane region.
The Spokane Scholars Foundation was founded in 1993 by community members and business leaders to recognize academic excellence among students in the Spokane region. Students are nominated in one of six academic areas.
All six nominees from Cheney High School were among the students honored at the annual Spokane Scholar Banquet on April 10th. The top 4 scholars in each category also received cash awards with matching one-year scholarships from local universities. One of our Cheney High School students, Terrence Yu, won the 3rd place prize in Mathematics. Congratulations to all of our Spokane Scholar nominees!
