Dear Cheney High School Community,

You may remember last spring, we asked you questions about your experience with the four-period day and what you would like to see in a possible schedule revision. This fall our school guiding coalition has been hard at work taking that input, along with data and research about the best practices for designing high school schedules. Several models have been built by the guiding coalition and feedback has been sought from our teaching staff.

In the coming weeks, we hope to solicit your feedback as well. Be looking for an email on Wednesday, 10/5, that will outline the choices we’ve narrowed down to, and will include a survey to gather your input.  The aim is to choose a model by the end of the month and present our proposed schedule to the district board of directors for approval in November.
