Caitlin Shaffer is an 8th-grade para-athlete at Westwood Middle School. She has been playing Wheelchair Basketball and Track for ten years. Caitlin’s coach is Teresa Skinner, and she has coached her since she was five years old. This spring break, Caitin’s basketball team competed in the NWBA JR. Nationals in Wichita, Kansas. The team played 10 out of 50 teams and ranked 7th in the country. The next steps for members of this team will be the Women’s Nationals in Akron, Ohio, this week. 

Westwood is so proud of Caitlin. We look forward to her future success at Cheney High School and with her Spokane paralympic teams.
