P-5 Intervention Framework

The P-5 Intervention Framework is Cheney Public School's tiered intervention model for addressing academic and behavioral needs of students within the district and individual schools.  The framework is adopted from a nationally recognized tiered intervention model for both academic and behavior supports. 

Our mission is to ensure that the needs of all children are met through a tiered support system providing multiple and varied opportunities for learning and close the achievement gap for all students district-wide. 

We believe the tiered model of intervention will provide an inclusive attempt to address the needs of 100% of our student population.  By using a strong research based foundation we are confident we can improve educational outcomes by eliminating the achievement gaps. For more information, please see the click the link: P-5 Intervention Framework
