ECEAP REGISTRATION IS OPEN

The FREE Preschool ECEAP Program in the Cheney Public Schools is open for registration. The forms can be accessed by clicking the headline above, and can be filled out electronically. However, in order to do so, you must have a default email application on your device. If not, you will need to save the applications and send them as an attachment via email to tnicks@cheneysd.org. CHS FFA PLANT SALE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

The annual FFA plant sale at CHS will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cheney High School greenhouse this Thursday and Friday. Come check us out - we have all of your garden favorites! There are some great items available: Big beautiful hanging baskets,veggies galore - 12 tomato varieties - colorful annuals - hardy perennials - geraniums - flavorful herbs.

CMS STUDENT NOAH HOPPE FEATURED ON KXLY TV

Click the headline above to see the recent news story about our very own Cheney Middle School student Noah Hoppe. Noah faced so many challenges following extreme problems at his birth - but he never let them defeat him. He now competes in three events in track and field at CMS. Noah gives back to the Spokane Guilds' School and Neuromuscular Center through the Penny Drive, and has collected for the cause ever since he was big enough to hold a sign. We are so proud of you, Noah!

CHENEY FBLA CLUB HAS FANTASTIC SHOWING

Over spring break, the Cheney Future Business Leaders of America Club competed in the State Business Leadership Conference in Bellevue. Out of 44 participants, 25 of them placed top 10 in state a total of 35 times, with students placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th earning entry to the FBLA National Conference this summer. JT Gasper was elected as the Northeast Region Vice-President. State Champions were Megumi Call, JT Gasper, Rachel Suominen and Korinna Shaw. Cheney was the second most recognized chapter in the state, and was awarded the award for the Largest Professional Division. CONSTRUCTION HAS BEGUN!

Work on the secure entrance at Salnave Elementary School was started over spring break. At Betz Elementary, contractor Leone & Keeble has begun to mobilize to the site. The City of Cheney Light Department set a new electrical pole and relocated services necessary to accommodate both the Betz and CHS projects. It is exciting to see the work approved by our voters begin!

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH IS COOL TEAMS QUALIFY

Cheney Middle School and Westwood Middle School students participated in the regional Math is Cool competition in Spokane. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams qualified to advance to the Master's Competition (state level) in Moses Lake, WA on Saturday, April 21st.
