On January 29th, the Westwood ASB sponsored an all-day school-wide servant leadership day led by Scott Backovich. Mr. Backovich started his day by making our staff laugh and smile during their staff meeting. The rest of his day from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. was serving students. The day was comprised of a school-wide assembly, time with Wolverine Pride Leaders and ASB, lessons in our health and fitness classes, grade level assemblies and dinner with CMS and WMS ASB executive officers. All of Scott’s messaging was highly entertaining, engaging and focused on how each of us can take a few seconds to make a positive difference for others in our Westwood Community. Thank you Mr. Backovich for reminding us about the positive power each of us has.
