First quarter has been busy for Mrs. Tomsha's room! Students in 6th grade Math extension have been working through fraction stations full of games, hands on manipulatives, technology, and small group practice. The 7th grade scientists have created engineering projects to prepare them to build a water filtration system and have been learning how matter is recycled through an ecosystem. In addition, the new after school Academic Excellence Club has been successful in helping students prepare for tests, catch up on missing work, and raise grades while learning with friends. They are looking forward to seeing many more students on the honor roll this year!
