Return to School - January 3rd

I hope everyone has had a restful and enjoyable holiday season and that you enjoy the next several days before our schools open again on Monday, January 3rd

I anticipate there may be questions related to in person instruction in our schools as Omicron becomes the dominate headline across our nation and region.  At this time, we are planning to return to school as usual on Monday and will continue to implement the health and safety protocols we have utilized throughout the fall that have assisted us in keeping our schools safely open.  While Omicron could present some challenges in the next several weeks, I remain confident that we will work through this latest challenge just as we have many others during the past 20+ months. 

While we are planning to keep our schools safely open for in person learning and there are no immediate plans for school closures, we are also considering options for short-term remote learning if this becomes necessary due to the Omicron variant.  We will continually analyze our system by keeping a close eye on staffing levels and infection rates throughout our district and provide regular updates to families as necessary.

If your child is sick or members of your household are COVID positive, please keep your child home until you have the opportunity to contact your school for guidance and COVID testing options.  School offices will open at their usual times on Monday, January 3rd, and health room staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.

We are proud of the fact that we were able to keep all our schools and classrooms open throughout the fall, and our goal is to keep our schools safely open for the remainder of this school year.  We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such amazing children and families within the communities we serve.  We look forward to your continued partnership and support in the new year.
