  • Garbanzos/Chickpeas - Harvest of the Month
Garbanzo beans, also known as chickpeas, are a type of pulse or legume, with one seedpod containing two or three peas. In Washington, seeds are planted in late April or early May and harvested in August. Most garbanzo beans found in the grocery (especially canned garbanzos) are cream colored and relatively round.
