At the School Board meeting on February 22nd, Salnave Elementary School Secretary Jennifer Pohl was honored as the District's Classified Employee of the Year. Included in the letter nominating her for this recognition were words like "instinctively making sure staff and families have everything they need and more." "She is never too busy to help, even though she has so much on her plate, and goes above and beyond what is asked of her." "Many students come to the office just to check in with 'Ms. Jen' as she has built trusting relationships with them." "One compliment I hear over and over again is the positive feeling of community that people feel as they enter our school. I believe Jen is one of the main reasons ... her positive persona creates a welcoming atmosphere for our school each and every day."
