  • "YOU RAISE ME UP" AWARDS PRESENTED TO STAFF
Dr. Phil Snowdon led the Cheney Public Schools as Superintendent for the 10 years from 1993 through 2003.  In honor of his service, the Cheney School District provided students the opportunity to recognize any staff member who made a contribution to their success.  Dr. Snowdon knew the impact of receiving a letter from a former student; he began his career as a fifth grade teacher and after he retired he received such a "thank-you" letter, which helped him to fully understand the impact he had made in the lives of his students.
At Staff Recognition Night Wednesday, May 8, students presented their letters of gratitude to the outstanding staff members in their lives.  Betz student Tess Vasecka presented Mrs. Cindy Kessler with her letter representing all elementary schools.  Mr. Aaron Mason, of Cheney Middle School, was presented a letter by Amirah Dour.  Taylor Moore presented Cheney High School teacher Mr. James Scarcello with his letter of appreciation.  Congratulations to all!
