    Did you know?

    LEVY: The local levy maintains essential educational programs and activities for students not funded by State and Federal dollars. The levy represents about 23% of the Cheney Public Schools operating Budget.

    BOND: Cheney High School was built for approximately 900 students, and currently serves approximately 1,200. The building is 48 years old, with the last renovation 20 years ago.

  • Hawk Athletics This Week, Dec. 15th - 19th
     
    Girls Basketball sign ups are going on now. First practice is January 5, 2015. Please make sure your athlete has turned in their activity packet, sports physical and paid their $15.00 ASB fee. Page 2 needs to be signed in the presence of a notary public. We have one in the CMS office. The notary will not be available on Friday, December 19th.

  • Winter Concert and Social Hour

    This Friday, December 19, our students and staff will enjoy an afternoon of music and social hour activities. We will have an accelerated schedule. It is posted under Site Shortcuts.

  • Middle School Dance 
     
    middle school dance will be held Friday, December 19, at Cheney Middle School from 6:30-8pm, 740 Betz Rd., Cheney, sponsored by the Cheney Youth Commission.  Admission is only $5.00.  Glow sticks and snacks will be sold at concessions.  For more information, call 509-498-9250.

    Winter Break Begins Monday, December 22
     
    Winter Break is scheduled for Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2.  Happy holidays!  We'll see you back on Monday, January 5.  The students and staff of Cheney Middle School extend our best wishes for a very happy and safe holiday season, and our hope that 2015 will be a year filled with peace and prosperity for all.

  • School Closure Make-Up Day Set for June 12
     
    The make-up day for this month's district-wide school closure will be Friday, June 12. School will now be in session that day - so June 12 will be the last day of school.
