Robert Reid Elementary is a laboratory school that, in a partnership between the Cheney School District and Eastern Washington University, has served the Cheney community for over 100 years. In addition to providing a high quality education to 140 students in grades Kindergarten through 5, it serves as a training and observation center for EWU students who are pursuing careers in teaching. The only “open enrollment” school in the district, it is located on the EWU campus and has a staff that is committed to the development and implementation of the very best learning and teaching practices. Parents are always invited to visit the school and become actively involved in the learning experiences of their children.
